While I was at Freed-Hardeman, I absolutely loved going to the art building and seeing some of the students’ art projects. My favorite ones by far were the ones that were machine-based. This exhibit I saw on Vimeo reminds me of those days.

Terminal Hack: Transparent Apps

If you’re like me, you like to hide your apps when you’re not using them right away. If you want to mark them as hidden, then type this code into Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.Dock showhidden -bool YES
killall Dock
To change it back, just change YES to NO and killall Dock.

The new MacBook (Pro) 2.0

While playing around on my brother’s new MacBook, I noticed some new things in the System Preferences as well as the toolbar.
First, there’s the new lightbulb logo for the Energy Saver pane. They’ve switched to a CFL bulb to further announce their strenuous efforts for “greener” computers.
