While playing around on my brother’s new MacBook, I noticed some new things in the System Preferences as well as the toolbar.
First, there’s the new lightbulb logo for the Energy Saver pane. They’ve switched to a CFL bulb to further announce their strenuous efforts for “greener” computers.

Terminal Hack: 2-D Dock

In Leopard, you can have a clean-looking 2-D dock similar to the ones found in Tiger, Panther, and Jaguar. I like it because it’s easier to see, and easier to look at.

defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES
killall Dock
To reverse it, change “YES” to “NO”
